iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review
This robot vacuum is not afraid to tackle the stairs, unlike some others. Like all mops and vacuums it is susceptible to getting blocked by objects like tennis shoes, robotvacuummops play jewelry, thread or other loose objects.
The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms, and even create zones that are not allowed to enter. You can also monitor the performance of your mops as well as their battery levels.
iRobot Combo j7+
The Combo j7+ is a robot vacuum and mop that combines smart mapping capabilities of iRobot and its ability to handle spills. It uses the same onboard acoustic sensors and iAdapt 2.0 navigation that are used in other Roomba options and maps your home 7 times faster than earlier models. It also allows you to create Keep Out Zones (for rooms that the robot is not allowed to enter) and Clean Zones (for rooms that it must be able to clean).
The most notable feature of the j7 is its robotic arm, which keeps the mop pad locked away when it's not in use, and then lowers it to tackle carpeting or hard flooring. The idea is to not spray water onto the rug and the Combo J7+ did very well during my tests. The robot was not able to cross the rug, even though I moved it around several times.
The arm comes with a 240mL tank that can be easily pulled out and filled, making it more manageable than mop pads found in other 2-in-1 robots. It also uses iRobot's PrevisionVision technology to avoid obstacles, which is more sophisticated than other systems of this type.
iRobot Combo i5
This multitasker is designed to vacuum and mop with one machine. Its vacuuming is done by a special bin that holds up to 60 days' worth of debris and iRobot claims reduces the amount of dust re-released into the air during the process. The i5+ also comes with dual multi-surface rubber brushes as well as Power-Lifting Suction to tackle dust, dirt pet hair and dirt on hard floors. Simply swap the Mopping Bin with a compatible cleaning product and you're ready to mop.
The i5+ runs iRobot OS and is smarter as you use it. It can learn your floorplan by creating an Smart Map that remembers room names and your personal cleaning preferences. The iRobot App allows you to set a schedule or direct the robot to clean a specific room.
iRobot is equipped with the ability to recognise household clutter, including cords, shoes, toys and bags. It will then automatically stop and return to dock for a recharge and complete the cleaning job at a later point. It is also voice-compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri and Google Assistant, understanding around 600 voice commands, which is more than any other 2-in-1 robot.
iRobot Combo j5
This robotic vacuum and mop from iRobot is a great choice for homes with both carpets and hard floors. It utilizes smart mapping and avoids obstacles to efficiently clean. It also offers various mopping options and a powerful SmartScrub feature that can help clean tough stains. It can also set No Mop Zones so that carpets won't be sucked up. The dock can refill the mopping fluid in a timely manner. The price is higher than the previous Roomba Combo j7+, but it offers more features.

It can also get under furniture and in tight spaces to provide a thorough clean. The Combo J5+ is compatible with the iRobot Clean Base for automatic dirt removal.

It can even create a map of your whole house, meaning you can clean everywhere you want after just one run. It will also stay clear of objects such as cords, backpacks or pet toys. It will also stay clear of socks, shoes and kitty litter boxes. With the iRobot app you can plan your house's cleaning and control your robot from anywhere.
iRobot Combo i3
The iRobot Combo i3 has been updated from the original Roomba i3. It has the same great dirt compartment on the outside and an HEPA filter to trap allergens However, it now supports smart mapping. This means you can create no-go zones to stop it from cleaning those areas in the future. The i3 Plus still has a bunch of other excellent features, including its advanced cleaning system, 10x power-lifting suction, and a three-stage process for cleaning. It also features a textured exterior to ward off dust, fingerprints and pet hair.
It performs well on bare flooring and can clean up most of the debris however it had trouble with pet hair on low pile carpets. It is a great choice with carpets with a high pile and is quieter than its rivals. The i3 is a bit more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it comes with a self-emptying system that emptys the dirtbag, replenishes its water reservoir, and cleans its mop pads.
With the i3 application, you can make schedules to clean at a specific time to suit your needs. You can also control your robot using your voice assistant to start or stop cleaning. It can also track the unique layout of your home to provide personalized cleaning habits and scheduling. It uses state-of-the-art sensors for mapping to guide you through carpet and hardwood and also learns your routine to optimize performance.
iRobot Combo i2
The Combo i2 is the latest robot vacuum and mop from iRobot. It is a combination of iRobot's intelligent floor cleaning technologies to make it a great choice for homes with hard floors as well as a few rugs or carpets. The Combo i2 uses a combo system that allows you to switch between mopping and vacuuming at the touch of a button. It also comes with iRobot's advanced navigation technology. It's an excellent choice for families who want the convenience of one robot with the versatility provided by multiple cleaning modes. It can be controlled with the voice of Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant-enabled devices. It can be programmed to start and stop whenever you go to and from.
iRobot Combo i4
This iRobot robotic mop and vacuum is perfect for those who want to keep their home tidy without lifting a finger. It is compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can use voice commands to control it. It also has smart mapping technology, so you can set up a schedule and the robot will do the task for you.
It comes with a slim docking station that doesn't occupy much space. It also has a movable dirt compartment. However it's impossible to look inside the compartment as it's constructed of transparent plastic. The i4 also lacks certain features, like keep-out zones and the AI-powered obstacle avoidance that is found on the j7 and j7+ models.
However, it does come with a strong vacuum system and rubber brushes that don't get tangled with pet hair. It's a great choice for homes that have high-pile carpets as it can take on more dirt and debris than weaker vacuums. The i4 also requires less maintenance and has lower costs for recurring maintenance and is more efficient in its lowest suction mode.
